I was on 2 cycles of Clomid. This first I took 50mg for 5 days, and the 2nd cycle I took 100mg for 5 days. I thought it would be expensive but it was only about $30 for 50mg. I got pregnant after the 2nd cycle, but at 6 weeks I suffered a miscarriage, so now I'm trying to conceive again without any fertility drugs.

They do say that your chances are more increased to have twins whilist using any form of fertility drug, metaformin is another one, I too was going to take clomid as I have polycystic ovaries, so doctor warned me that it could happen, but nothing is for def. good luck , just remember if it's mean't to be it will be...

Metformin is not a fertility drug it does help insulin resistance wich occurs with pcos. It can help with fertility as it helps to regulate your system. It does not cause release or production of eggs. It is not used solely for reproductive issues. If that were the case there would be a ton of diabetic people pregnant

    Ang8318,

I am not diabetic but I do take it for pcos and am monitored by an endocronologist, I do not have hypoglycemia from it.
