Ive been on Yaz birth control since April 27, 2008 (few weeks ago).. this would be my 3rd week on this pill.. everything is going well with this pill-the only major side effect that I have been getting is some bleeding even after I finished my period which was two weeks ago.. the bleeding is not major or stains like regular menstruations- actually the bleeding occurs more and tends to come out more when my husband and I are intametly together..
In other words, when my husband inserts himself in me that's when the bleeding tends to be more.. it isn't painful or anything and I did read outside of the box of Yaz and one of the side effects of Yaz was bleeding spots between periods.. I isn't sure though if this is normal-i can't enjoy very well being with my husband for this reason-will it ever go away.. anyone passing through this same situation?

I am going through the same thing (exactly!) So I'm thinking it has to do with the pills. I started using them to regulate my period back in March '08 but it definitely has been crazy. I have bleeding in between periods and when my husband and I are intimate I start bleeding again. I have never had this happen and I've been married for 12 1/2 years. My doctor has done some tests and a sono to see if there was something wrong but everything is coming back normal. I am going to start a new pill the generic for orthotricyclin lo (I don't know how to spell that) next month and I'm hoping this will make things better. I was scared but hearing that you are going through the same thing I truly believe it's the pill. I hope this helps it sure has helped me. Thanks

You said that you have been taking yaz since march has it been lighter the bleeding or still the same? I read on the box that this could happen for at least 3 months and then tends to be getting lighter by each day.. this pill has a lot of good things but what totally kills it is this bleeding thing.. my husband and I are waiting till this sideeffect goes away and we haven't been that much intimately together and that's what bothers me cause there are nights when I do want to be with him but because of the bleeding spots and stuff I cant..
I have also noticed that after I take a shower it doesn't come out only a few hours later.. its weird.. I just hope it ends very soon - in a way its like having your period EVERYDAY
Sometimes you even feel the cramps and my mood swings have been going on and off like crazy.. some days I feel really upset and cranky, while other days happy, or even depressed.. but mainly these pills have been getting me extremely cranky and I am getting it a lot with my husband for any dumb thing..
These side effects are messed up- I just hope that my body does the change that it needs to so I can go back to my regular self..

My bleeding did get lighter last month but it seems that this month is worse in fact I still have one more week of the regular pills and after being intimate with my husband I started bleeding quite a bit and it seems that my period is wanting to start. I'm bleeding heavier than I had been. I also have experienced the mood swings depression, crankiness and I've even had hot flashes. I can't hardly wear my light colored clothes because I don't know when I'm going to bleed and perhaps stain my clothes. It's awful!
I have used several birth control pills over the years and none of them have done this. I really am ready to switch pills, hopefully the new ones will work better.

I had a baby in march 2008 and was put on the depo shot 3 days after my daughter was born.. After all the side affects I had on that I was put on yaz. I have been on yaz for 2mths now and I still have been bleeding off an on and reall heavy at times and after my husband an I have intercourse usually by the time I wake up in the morning I have started again and that's when its heavy. The bleeding or spotting will lasts for 2wks or more before it stops and could stop for 1wk or 1 day, I never know when I will bleed again. THis had been going on for 7 1/2 months now!! Not only that but I also have depression, vision changes like I'm looking in a tunnel or my eyes are crossing, tiredness so tired my husband has had to stay home from work because I will not wake up, and also nites I can't even sleep, just restless, cold sores and I never got them in my life now I can't get rid of them, really dry skin, moodiness, irritated with everybody just plain crabby, will argue with my husbandat the drop of the hat, itching down below like crazy, brain fogginess just plain being duh, tingling in arms and legs and loss of apetite, heart pumping widely or slowing right down, loss of breathe when talking or going from sitting to standing feeling of gasping for air like I have someone sitting on my chest, the dizziness/light headedness its all so crazy. I am only taking it so I don't get pregnant again and its causing more harm then good. Its changing my life. There's days where I can't take care of my daughter or myself. I had similar symptoms on the depo shot but within a week of stoping the shot I was fine until I took yaz. I have been all over the net looking up symptoms and now I'm really leaning to the fact that its yaz.. So hope this helps for anyone else that may have any concerns about yaz..

I have the same things happening to me. I've been on yaz since June and it seems like all I do is bleed. I just started college and its not fun having to deal with this and school. When I go in next I am going to talk to my doctor about it

I am on Yaz as well the higher dose and one week before my whit pills I experience light headed ness nausea and hot flashes my apatite changes dramatically and I'm vary moody everything makes me sad. My boyfriend lives with me and he hates it , he swears he only gets the best of me 2 weeks of every month , but I like yaz because it had help my acne and weight gain and enlarge my breast... I'm not sure if the cons are out waysing the pros , but today I started spotting 1 week after my period for the first time on the pill in 2 years , little worried..

I have been on yaz for a year and 2 months, just today I start this bleeding between periods. What is up with that?

I have been on Yaz since last summer (09) and about tow months ago I started spotting, and I would stop for maybe a few days then I get my period, then I started my new pack and a week after I bled again, but its almost like period blood. I get cramps. I have been more tired more then usual the past few days, and I would say depressed and moody. What are your doctors saying? Can someone give us advice? Thanks

I have been having the same issue... but I have a question, did anyone notice that these symptoms worsened after you started taking the generic form. I NEVER had an issue for the two years I was on the "yaz" name brand but two months after they switched me to the generic form I started major bleeding during sex, spotting constantly between periods and stopping only a few weeks after. Did you ladies notice it with the generic or name brand?

YAZ was the very first birth control I decided to take. For the first four months, everything was fine. It seemed as if my symptoms had gotten worse and worse with time. First nausea, then the uncontrollable bleeding for weeks in a row. After bleeding for 3 weeks back to back I finally visit my doctor. I got advised to stop taking the pill and the bleedings slowed down but hasn't stopped. Since taking YAZ Ive experienced weakness/dizziness,headaches,nausea, leg pain, and severe cramping. We're still trying to figure out whether YAZ is to blame.

This happened to me while using a wooden dildo I got in the Paskistan. It was a splinter. It had gotten termites and I keep using it because of the magical powers. I was using it on my husband also. He got a splinter though.

Same thing is happening with me.. I started yaz on the 17th march 2012 (the start of my menstral cycle) and up until now (the 28th) I have been spotting ever since. It's not heavy.. it's sort of like a brown discharge. When my partner and I are intimate I tend to spot a lot heavier, soon as I go to the toilet and wipe there is quite a lot of brownish blood on the toilet paper.. I had no idea why this was happening was getting worried that something was wrong with me. But it must be the pill if it's happening to a lot of other ladies. Also I started taking the pill because it helps prevent ovarian cysts, I have one of my left ovary that is the size of a sqaush ball.. Do you think that could be affecting me in any way?

It's the pill ladies! I went and saw my gp today. Yaz is just a weaker version of yasmin.. So ask your gp to put you on yasmin instead.
