    Jet pump
I have an old jet pump and would like to install it so I can pump water out of the lake for my sprinkler system. I have the pump and a small tank. How do I make this work? Thanks in advance.

Depends. If the pump is no more than 25' above the lake elevation, then you can run one pipe to your lake and have at it. You will need a check valve and some sort of screen or filter to keep from pumping trash. If you are more than 25' feet above the lake, then you would need two pipes and would need to have the jet actually in the lake. OR, you could simply move the pump closer to the lake. The site below has a pretty good explanation of how it's done.
