Even though the girl in this topic and I aren't together anymore, we might as well be.  We still talk like we are together and I can say I still love her with all my heart.  Thing is though, her family is having problems and have to move 2 states away.  Again even though we aren't dating, how can I cope with this loss.  I lost her once and now I'm losing her again. It tore my heart out when she told me, and I can't believe its happening. But if someone could give me advice on how to cope with this situation it would be greatly appreciated.

In the world of internet and flat-rate telephone calls, they are only as far away as you place them. People will show up in your life one day, and enrich your life and then they go on. You will still have your memories which nobody can take away.

I have been almost all over this planet and got to know some cool people and we still keep in contact. I knew from the beginning that life does not stand still for anyone and that we all will go different ways, but that should not prevent you from making new friends and keeping your old ones close to heart.

It might seem painful now, but I promise it will stop hurting and leave you with the knowledge that you have friends in different places - and believe me, you are not alone. It's OK to miss a good friend - we all do at times.
