    Changing car registration from SC to NC
    I was living in SC when I purchased the car so it is registered in SC now I moved to NC 2 months back... Do I have to change my car registration from SC to NC but I will move back to SC in 2 months... My registration expires in July 08.

    Technically you should change it if you're going to keep residing in that state but since you are moving back just renew it in the state it's presently issued in. The same goes for the d/l people. If you are going to continue to reside in a different state other than where the driver's license was originally issued you need to change it.

    Yes, legally you have 30 days from the time you move to get new drivers license, insure your car in the new state and get new plates on the car.

    But OK, to be honest I doubt I would do it myself, but you do risk a ticket if they stop and check into it
