Reversed Tubal ligation & battling to conceive
    Hi there

I am really trying hard not get depressed but every month when I start menstruating I become more and more depro... I have had a tubal ligation reversal procedure over an year ago, however they could only reverse one tube as the other had two filsche clips on and apparently it was pointless trying to reverse that one, so I only have one tube, they say usually you only have a 50% success rate (using both tubes) so I guess I now only have 25%, I have had sex so many times that I sometimes feel it's becoming work and seeing no joy in the situation. I have had three successful no problem pregnancies, what am I doing wrong now?? Is there anything that I can do or take to improve fertility? Please help I am becoming really desperate?

How did you go about getting your reversal done? I am looking at trying to get my reversed and have no clue where to start.

First it is hard, even couples with no problems can often take well over a year.. You get a reversal by going to your doctor and see if it is possible or not.

HI mishka, I went to my gynae who did a scan first of all to see how much "tube" I haft left, then according to that they decide whether it is advisable... meaning if it's too short the opp is pointless, and which in my case was what happened with the one (left) tube. They could only untie one, being the right side cause they cut where the filsche clip is and then burn the two new end together again, and my left tube had for some unknown reason two clips on and that made my tube too short to retie.

It is a very costly opp and IF both tubes are untied you only have app 50% chance of getting pregnant, many people go straight for an IVP but that's another financial issue and I have heard that the younger you are the higher the risk for success, meaning that only once you tried everything they really go that route, I have almost given up I tell you...

    Hi Lalaine
I also did a tubal litigation in 2003, now I'd like to reverse it but don't know where to begin I went to a gynea in Kuilsriver Hospital, and he said he doesn't do a reversal, can you please recommend a Gynea that can help me with a reversal, & how much does it cost to do it?
    Thank you
