Why?

You may change your name by going to the court house and making applicatoin for a name change, Normally you can not get a new SS number since that links all of your retiremement earnings to you.

Here's information on how to apply for a new SIN or have your records amended.

BTW, it's helpful to specify what country you're writing from since people post to this board from all over the world. :)
