If I'm 16 and that's the legal age to have sex and my boyfriend is 20 can he still get into trouble for being with me?

16 is only the legal ag in some places, so where you from. Also each state in the US has its own laws about the age difference
I don't know but I hope so.

The statistics on younger girl/older boyfriend and having sex are staggering - perhaps that is why 20 year olds date 16 years olds. Their own age group is not interested. The likelihood that the relationship will turn sexual is something like 4 times greater than when both parties are at or near the same age. I believe the study pertained to girls age 13 to 17 or 18.
I'll have to find it and post it - very interesting.
Judy, I'd love to see that study.

Depends where you are its different everywhere
Even if 16 is the age of consent, some areas have age difference laws that state that an adult having sex with a minor is illegal.
But, as others have mentioned. A 20 year old, involved with a minor is usually just in it for the sex and he is most likely exploiting you.
