    Pain medication and acid reflux
I've had some stomach problems in the past months. One time my stomach burned for like a whole week straight. Until I finally went to the doctor and they gave me some medication for acid. It went away in a couple days. Then I thought it was gone for good, until a couple months later it started coming back... then went away. Finally another couple months ago, I got it for like 5 days again and started taking the medication. And did so for two to three weeks, it helped. But now I just want to know if pain medications affect a stomach that tends to produce too much acid? I haven't had any more of those symptoms since the last time... but on three recent occasions I've taken advil, and aspirin... and each of those times later in the day I've had acid coming up into my throat. There seems to be a connection but I'd like to make sure... what do you guys think? Oh and if so... what can be done if anything to prevent this from happening?

You might want to take organic apple cider vinegar instead of medication. It's good for acid reflux and it doesn't have any side effects.

When you have heartburn or acid reflux it is caused because your body is not producing enough acid. Thus, causing you to have heartburn or acid reflux.

Pain meds will help with the pain, but they are just a band aid, not a real fix. You need to have this problem properly diagnosed and treated.
