We have been Trying to conceive for months and I would like to know if there is a possibility of too much sex? We have sex about once a day per doctors orders to try and get pregnant, he has also taken a sperm test and the doctor said it is above normal. Any advice would be appreciated. My period came two days early and ia m not sure if it is IB or period.. it was light but I did use a tampon for the first 2 days and then I was done... I now have brownish color when I wipe only. I have had sore breasts for about a week and half before I started and I am extremely tired (but that is quite normal I think :)). Thank you for all your help in advance

For most, having sex too frequently only becomes an issue when low sperm count is involved. Every day won't be an issue in most cases, and in some situations fairly frequent sex can improve the number of healthier sperm... however, it is not necessary everyday to conceive. If the period you had was quite unusual for you, that may be a good sign. Some women will experience a "period" in early pregnancy that is shorter, lighter, or in some way different from their norm. Fingers crossed you have found success!

Having sex daily can indeed lower the sperm count. You see it takes the average man 24 - 36 hours to rebuild his sperm count after having sex. Most doctors suggest that sex every other day is perferable to having sex daily.

If you are Trying to conceive, and you both have been deemed healthy, sex every other day is best. Also, remember that it takes the average woman up to a year to conceive when actively trying. You see, the act of "trying" is stressful to your body. Stress produces hormones that aid in preventing pregnancy. This is why many doctors tell couples to "go on a vacation," or just to relax and it will happen when the time is right.

J_9 is right, every other day is best, however know when you are ovulating... you will have a clear strechy discharge, and then have sex like crazy, both time I have gotten pregnant are the times I have had sex 3-4 times the night I was at my ovultion peak. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!
