12 volt dc to ac power inverter?
I want to use a 120 volt ac airconditioner in my truck, it is 15 amps, if I get a 2300 power inverter will that be enough to run the air unit for 1 hr at a time . I'm a service tech and have no air in the truck so this may be my cheapest solutuin, I bought a 5600 BTU for 99 bucks now all I need is the inverter wich I think I could get for 200 and change, the air unit will be turned on and off all day as I make stops through out the day, any info would be great thanks

I do not think the truck's electrical system will be able to sustain the inverter as well as everything else.

Certainly, you would never be able to have the unit on without very quickly killing your battery if the engine is off.

Hell, I mistakenly let my nephew play with my laptop off an inverter and within a half hour, I needed to jump-start the van. Nothing else was on at the time, just the inverter.
