    93 chevy astro out of ideas
    93 chevy astro started dyeing randomly at stop lights would sometimes start after couple of minutes.replaced plugs,wires,rotor cap,distributor cap.new bosch fuel pump,filter,pump relay,oil pressure sensorand idle air control ran for a day starting and stopping came home an hour later won't even start.

    You've probably spent more on spraying the problem with part than it would have cost for professional diagnostics.
    While gaining experience, and probably accomplishing most of the preventative maintenance that would have been recommended anyway, you probably do have an ignition module that is failing open when it heats up. If you replace that ignition module, apply silicon grease to the contact surface to allow for heat transfer, or the new module could go bad quickly.

    Test/replace the Ignition Control Module and coil.

    Ignition module has already been tested and was working.now blowing ecm 1 fuse

    I had ignition module tested,at same time I got code for idle air control which had already been replaced once code was cleared got no others,drove around all afternoon got home went out hour later would not start ecm 1 fuse blown blow them soon as try to start it,could it be just bad ecm oris it likely I have a short somewhere or other problem,thank you for the suggestions so far

    Trace for a short on that circuit. There could be a short in the harness or the PCM could be shorted internally.

    I suspect a short inside the ECM.

    Moduel will test good cold but not hot try replacing it anyway shorted out now if blowing fuse.
