I'm really worried because last year in October I had quinsies which can stop you breathing and and I was in hospital for a week. But before I went home the doctor said if I get quinsy again I will have to have my tonsils out. I am really scared because I never had an operation in m life and I intend to keep it that way. Please help me. :confused:

Having your tonsils out is not such a big deal like you think it is. Having quinsey is a big deal. Did you know that is what George Washington died of? Yep. I've had this as well as tonsillitis. But oddly enough I never had my tonsils out as I could not be well long enough to have them out. Then I got older and stopped being sick all the time so I never bothered to have them out. If you keep getting sick and your dr wants them out - get them out.
