How to go ahead with ITIN after receiving SSN
    Hi,

My spouse ITIN process got stuck due to incomplete documentation. Mean while I got SSN for my spouse. Now I don't need ITIN any more.but if I cancel her ITIN than what would be the process for married filing jointly ?

    Thanks
    Mit

Call IRS and tell them that you don't need ITIN.

Agreed. Contact the IRS to say you no longer need the ITIN.

Then amend your return (I assume the IRS processed the return WITHOUT the ITIN) adding your spouse on Form 1040X using the SSN.
