    Is the price right ?
    Good morning everyone,

If you where going to supply a service of marketing a product for a company.
You would be attending different events with hands on displays.
You would not be doing any on site sales.
What would you bill for such thing ?
    Would bill By the event?
    Amount of new contacts?
Is there somewhere to find rates for exhibitors.
And how would track your effectiveness ?
I'm sure this is done all the time, so there must be some kind of formula.
I just don't know where to look !
    Thanks for your time
    Dan

One approach to fees is to determine how much salary you want to try to make per year.

Break that down into income for a day. For instance, $50,000.00 per year is app $1,000.00 per week. But that allows only two weeks off (being self-employed trades off some undesirables, but it brings on some real challenges).

So a five-day work week would require a net income (salary) of app $200.00 per day just for salary. These are rough figures. You have to earn more than that to cover operating costs of the business and still bring in the salary.

In addition, sick days, personal days, and whatever holidays you take have to be accounted for.

Also, even though a fee for being onsite somewhere may seem high to a customer, there is much behind-the-scenes work. You do not have "billable hours" of eight per day every day.

Complicated, isn't it? I still choose that route, however, and am grateful for the opportunity to do so.
