Vit E is good for the promotion of healthy skin for many reasons . Regarding color I would say it has minimal impact. But ,it is good for protecting the skin from UV damage and reduces free radicals... things normally assocoated with "anti-aging" . So yes ,Vitamin E should be part of your every day nutritional requirements .

I have also seen some info about vitamin e lightening properties. I have also seen research showing that taking pomegranate extract taken orally can lighten skin and create UV protection in your skin.

Wow, I've never heard of that. I've been taking vitamin E pills since I was 15, I'm 37 now, I'm fairly certain that they have no effect on skin color, but they do promote healthy skin as Tomder55 said.

Unless they've come up with something else, I think this info is false.

"There is also a small amount of research showing oral supplements of pomegranate extract, ellagic acid, vitamin E, and ferulic acid can inhibit melanin production.[16]"

It is funny that I read the same article and waiting for the supplements to arrive. I already started with the Vitamin E.

I've only used vitamin E oil topically and it did help reduce some of my acne scars.
