Bulbs keep blowing. Is it a power surge?
I have a ceiling light fitting in my lounge that keeps blowing bulbs. It has five bulbs and has been through eleven sets in eleven months. The building was built in 2004 and no other rooms are affected.

Need more help from you here.

With respect to power surges or spikes, do you see the light dim and brighten all by itself?

Were I you, I would kill the power to the light fixture at the breaker that supplies the light. Then I would start at the wall switch and verify that all wires are tightly joined to the switch. Next, I would pull the fixture itself and verify the connections, particularly Neutral.

While I had the light down I would check the listed wattage of the fixture against the bulbs to make sure that they match.

Most likely a neutral issue as Don suggests, but also measure the line voltage just to be thorough.

I agree with both answers, mostly measuring the line voltage.
