    Pinpointing my child's father
I have been on birth control for years. My boyfriend and I broke up a few months ago and I started seeing my ex. My ex and I had unprotected sex mar. 7. I got my period mar. 12. My boyfriend and I decided to make things work and got back together. I stopped taked my pills mar. 18 and got my period again mar. 25 I guess because of hormones? My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex mar. 25 hours before my period came on the second time. And we continued to have unprotected sex after my period ended. I recently took a pregnancy test and it came back positive :O . My ov. Calendars show that my conception day was apr. 8. I'm just curious. Kind of paranoid. My boyfriend would be the father right? I haven't seen/been with/talked to my ex since our mar. 7 encounter. I guess it would be obvious that it's my boyfriends. I just haven't been with anybody else unprotected since we met almost 8 years ago. We've been going through some things and I made a mistake. Even though I was on birth control and didn't get off 'til mar. 18th, I keep thinking that my ex's sperm would've hung around? Lol... I know. I guess I'm being stupid. My boyfriend and I are working things out and I just want to put my ex and all his mess behind me.

It's the boyfriend. No sperm from the ex could last that long.

Did you actually have your period on the 12th or were you only spotting? If you were only spotting, then there's a good possibility that your ex may have impregnated you. It seems odd that you would have 2 periods in 2 weeks.

I would say that if there's any doubt in your mind whatsoever, get a paternity test after the baby is born. It's scary, but that way you'll have a definite answer.

Unfortunately there is no way to tell 100% at this point. You will have to have a paternity test done once the baby is born.

Yes, guessing the time of conception is good but not exact, so it could be either, I don't believe you couild claim either 100 percent without having a test done after the baby is born.
