I gave my mother an exothermic perm and forgot to add the activator to the waving lotion. Didn't discover my mistake until all was finished. What results can I expect? Will it curl at all? If not, will we need to repeat it, and how long should we wait? Thanks for the help.

It might have curled. You need the activator for the perm to heat up to allow it to penetrate the hairs cuticle so that it can mould it into shape.
If her hair has not curled, she will need to repeat it again after 2 weeks.
