    I'm going to assume you mean what type of masonry cement covering that goes over the foundation. It's called "parging". You can use type "N" mortar that you can be in a pre-mix bag or you can mix your own. Mixing your own the ratio is 1 part cement mix, 3 parts sand, 1/4 part lime. A "part" is a shovel full. So if you want to mix a big batch just double the ratios. (2 shovels of cement, 6 shovels of sand 1/2 shovel of lime.. etc) You apply this to the foundation using a trowel.
