How do I walk out on my marriage, knowing there is nothing there between us, but yet I do have feelings for him, we are just not in love with each other.
Hi, Have you thought things through, have you sat down and talked with your husband and told him how you feel. I have depression and wanted to leave -everyone- but then my husband sat me down and I told him how I felt. He didn't know what I was going through in my head. Its your decision to make but do take the time and think it over first.
Before you walk, stop and think about what you will be doing to yourself.
You willingly "Vowed" your fidelity to your husband. If you cannot trust yourself to keep your own vow, who can you trust.
I'm curious, has your husband done anything to you that warrant your leaving?
First of all, I am sorry you feel this way, it's a difficult spot to be in.
You may want to consider marriage counseling.
Many relationships go through a period like this; the person with whom you may have madly been in love with doesn't elicit the same response. That's perfectly normal.
A counselor might help you see yourself and your relationship in a different light. Worst case scenario, you can walk away knowing you did everything you could as opposed to having lingering doubts.
Keep your chin up, times like this can actually precede growth in your relationship.:)
Please seek professional advice. The question sounds as if you think it's helpless (your marriage). Do you suffer from depression?
Some good answers here already: communication and counseling, if you are unsure or have doubts. However, if you are certain you want to separate, I believe you tell him you need to move out on your own, unless you are wanting him to move. In that case, you may need to involve an attorney if he refuses.
