    Mom left Dad (abandonment)
My mom and dad have been together for some where in the 40 year range they live in Indiana. The other day they were having a conversation and then my mom just pops up and says By the way I am leaving you. Calm voice not mad just left my Dad.
My question is this can my dad get her on abandonment of marriage in Indiana?
She told him when she left she didn't want the house and she was not upset when she said this to him now when dad ask her to sign a quick Calm deed she said I lived in that house a long time I should get something out of it
Is she entitled to anything at all because of the way she just left and has now set up living in an apartment else whwere? Thank You

I guess after 40 years she is entitled to her opinion. I don't think it is abandonment per se, not at this stage of the marriage. I don't know the circumstances, but maybe she needed a break and wants to be independent for a change.

I guess she should get something out of the house, and I hope she does, but I hope also everything will be straightened up and they will be together again.
