    How to Diagnose Dyslexia
You can call the school and ask them who does the testing. Use all of your recourses, this is great that you are doing something about this. It is so hard to learn with this disability, so the sooner you get control the better. Good luck to you and your daughter! :)

Can you go to another local school? Call the principal, ask where they do free testing in your area.

I am not sure how it works in England but in the US if the parent wants testing done that the school does not feel is appropriate they must pay for it out of their own pockets. BUT the school can give a referall as to where to go for the testing. Go back to your school and tell them that you will pay for the testing, but ask if they know of any Educational or Child Psychologists that could help you. If the front desk can't help you ask to see the school social worker or psychologist.

I talked to my daughters teacher and principal at a private school and they didn't want to give me a referral or help. They tried telling me my child is behind because she switched schools. I understand that could be the reasomn she's behind, but doesn't explain why she spells things backwards and so does her father. Then I called her doctor and asked how do I get her tested for dyslexia? Now I have a appointment this Monday with the doctor who is going to refer me to someone else I think. So call your child's doctor and my appointment is covered by medicaid.
