Can you ovulate and be pregnant
Yes you can but that isn't considered a period.
Why? Are you pregnant and bleeding like a regular period?
No with my 7 month old before I new I was pregnant. I had sex with my boyfriend and we broke up he left my best friend got me a pregnant. Test but it wasn't it was a ovulateing test and it said yes and well we had sex and a week later I found out I was and I thought because me and my best friend had just done it that there was no way it was his but now every one says that he looks just like him I mean he is getting a dna test but not any time soon so you know I thought if that question was answered I would feel better
No you cannot ovulate whilst pregnant. Combined pill contraceptives work on this principle making your body think it is pregnant so that you do not ovulate.
You can have bleeding which resembles a period, but technically isn't. However a period is a different stage of your cyle to ovulating.
Have a look at his chart it shows the hormone present during your cycle and the levels.

Not just before you ovulate your oestrogen levels dip causing a rise in Lutenising hormone and follicle stimulating hormone. This makes you release an egg (ovulate).
During pregnancy the oestrogen levels are maintained along with other hormones, they do not fall like at the end of a menstruation cycle. Pregnancy Hormones - WikiParenting

This will prevents subsequent ovualtion until the preganancy ends.
EDIT
I've finally found a graph of progesterone levels during preganacy!
The role of progesterone hormones during pregnancy.
Pregnancy is designed to inhibit further ovulation. You may have already been pregnant as an early pregnancy can show up with an ovulation test. Do you happen to recall if the line that was as dark or darker than the control line? While a pregnancy test only has to show a line... even a very faint line, to be positive... an ovulation test has to show a line that is as dark or darker than the control line to be positive.Quote:
