    Cat biting
My daughter's cat bites her and anyone else who tries to feed it. The cat is playing, but bites hard and she can't get it to stop. Any ideas?

I am not an expert on Cats.. or much else for that matter... however, I do have two cats and one of them was a biter. I got a small bottle of water and I kept it handy. When she bit, I sprayed her in the face with water.. she stopped biting me.

My husband is not so refined. When she bites him he pops her on the mouth not enough to really hurt her, but enough that she knows she has been bad.. She does not bite him either.

I negatively reinforced this behavior with one of my cats by giving it more hand or finger than it could chew. He would withdraw before gagging and eventually learned to quit biting.
