Amount of wattage in ceiling light fan
I have a Hampton Fan with 4 lights, 60 watt bulbs. I would like to increase the wattage in two of the bulbs. Can I use a haolgen light? What is the maximum wattage I can use in a conventional bulb? Thanks- bipsie

Most ceiling fans have a 60 max bulb rating, unless otherwise noted. Some light kits are rated for and have halogens.

Your only option, if the fan does not have dimmers/a remote, is to use CFL bulbs that are less than 60 watts but put out the equivalent of more than 60 watts of light.
