How would I find a maiden name of someone who used to be my friend as a part of a married couple and I do not know her maiden name as to contact her. I need her maiden name as to contact this person without paying for it as I shouldn't have to.

Does she live in the United States?

You might find it on line, depending on how long she's been married. Curious to know why you don't think you should need to pay for the info - ?

Are you sure she has reverted to her maiden name ? Not all women do If she has then it may be tough. It depends on what you know, do you know was it a church or civil ceremony if you knew the possible church you can check their records , if you know the approx date of marriage you could check local papers for marriage announcements etc
