I had a paper jam in my Canon mp600. I cleared this - but now the printer will not function. Even though it passes paper cleanly when it starts up the "paper is jammed" warning comes on the LCD and it cannot be cleared or reset. As a result my printer thinks it's jammed amd will not print. Has anyone any idea how to reset the message and clear the machine (and yes I've pushed the reset button - nothing)

Place the printer into diagnostic mode and exercise the paper feed.

Also, paper failing to feed can cause a false semaphore to fag an error condition when the paper does not reach the test point in time. The test point reports back a no paper condition and a jam is assumed to have occurred earlier in the paper path.

Finialy, examine the paper path to make sure all flags are in the proper position.
