I have a female miniature dauchund that has started shaking , once you hold her after about 10- min she will stop. She is 3 yrs. Old

It never hurts to check with the vet before working with any behavior problem. If she hasn't been if for a routine check or shots, you might go ahead.

Many of the smaller dogs have trouble keeping warm. At 3 years old, she is mentally mature, and may have settled down a little providing less body heat. When you hold her, she is warmed by your body. Make sure she has a nice warm bed away from drafts. You might also try a sweater. A good game of fetch will warm her up.
