    Ovulating during the second menstruation
Don't know if this is the right topic but it seemed right. Anyway, I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone could answer my question. I usually get my period during the middle of the month between the 16th and 20th. However, this month I got it on the 11th AND on the 26th. Is it possible that I was ovulating during the second menstruation and if so it's pretty likely that I could get pregnant if engaging in unprotected sex, right? Thanks.

On both the 11th and 26th did you have red blood, or brown/pink on any of those days? Once it started, how long did each "period" last?

I'm asking because a woman'scycle does not allow you to have 2 actual periods during such a short time frame. There are different parts of a cycle which are: menstruation, follicular phase, ovulation, luteal phase – all of which combine to about 24 – 30 days on average (sometimes more but never as short as you described from 11th to 26th)

Either you misunderstood spotting to be a period OR something else is happening.
I suggest calling your doctor to see what he/she thinks.

Also, bleeding twice does not necessarily mean you ovulated twice. That typically can only occur once/month.

They were both normal flow, cramping, all that lovely stuff. They both feel like a real period and they both looked like a real period. That's why I was curious maybe I am irregular because I stopped birth control pills about two months ago. So I wasn't sure if it was possible that I ovulated during my second so-called "period" of the month since ovulation usually occurs after menstruation. I;m not sure if I am making sense.
