Yes, they are workhorses and reliable. You can turn off the SpeedStep feature if you wish, it's a power saving feature.
We have three and they work well, I still like my newer dell best but that is merely opinion

That's great to hear, if the Chinese have anything to do with them I would imagine they will do well. Have had 3 good responses for this question, and yesterday purchased one on Ebay!
