    Stimulus Payments
This year my husband and I filed a joint tax return. He owns a small business and claimed a loss. Will we still be eligible for the stimulus payment!

To be eligible you must either have income tax liability for 2007 or "qualifying income" of at least $3K. Qualifying income means earned income plus benefits from Social Security, veterans affairs, or railroad retirement. See: Basic Information on the Stimulus Payments for details. In your case it sounds like you had neither earned income nor income tax liability, so it seems you are not eligible. However, if you read the IRS site it says that if you are not eligible for 2007, but become eligible for 2008, you can still receive the payment - you'll just have to wait until your 2008 taxes are filed.

No, you will not get the stimulus tax rebate. For this you must have a qualified income of minimum $3,000.
Now when you file your 2008 tax return, the IRS will check your eligibility once again.
For information on stimulus tax rebate schedule, the eligibility and how much rebate you will get read: Your U.S. Tax Return: Are You Eligible for 2008 Stimulus Tax Rebate Payment?

If what MukatA and ebaines assumed is true (you showed NO income at all on your tax return), then, yes, you are NOT eligible for the stimulus rebate.

However, if you had an outside job which generated the required $3,000 in income (after deducting for the business loss), then you do qualify for the rebate.
