Removing hair dye and dying hair after
Hello, I have had my hair black for about a year now and have decided to take it out. I will be using a product that was recommended for me before when I had dark hair by a professional (Goldwell Colour Remover). I have two questions.
    1) Will a dye remover take out colour that has been in the hair for a year?

    2) I have heard that when dying hair brown after having removed the black the hair often turns blackish again. Does this actually happen? I wanted to dye my hair light or medium brown. What would be the best option for covering the stripped hair yet not turning it black again?

    Thanks!:)

Stripping out the black can be a little difficult. And if you use a colour stripper, it will only remove the artificial dye. But then seeing as it's a black colour you want to strip out, you may need to use the colour stripper several times.

I think you should bleach out the colour instead. And also with the bleach, you can achieve a light base. Once you've done that then apply the desired light colour.

Putting on the medium brown colour may give your hair the appearance of quite dark hair.

Oh, no. Don't bleach over black hair unless you are prepared for it to go orange.

Well, I can safely use this colour remover 3 times in my hair. I don't want to go blonde (or orange =S). I want a light or medium brown. Whichever will turn out better.

Yes, whilst the bleach is on the hair it will be orange for a bit, but if you leave the bleach on, it will strip out the orange and begin to go blonde.
