    Washing machine backup
When my washing machine drains, thepipe in the floor does not take it away fast enough and it backs up in the kitchen sink upstairs.I've snaked the lines and nothing changed.I even put in larger pipe to try to hold more water while it drains, still backing up in the sink.need help.

Hey Scott, Either the snake's too small or you didn't run it out far enough. You still have a clog. You need to go back and snake again. Since the clog's downstream from the kitchen I would snake from that roof vent. Put out enough cable to reach the base and 20 feet more. Good luck, Tom

I just can't seem to picture this happening. A basement drain on the floor takes the washer water and is able to lift the water 10 ' up to the kitchen sink. Can you tell us how the washer hose is connected to the floor pipe? Thanks
