    Kenmore Dryer Not Starting
    I believe the model# is 66812692.

When pressing the "start" button, heat comes on and clicking sound is heard from the timer, but the dryer doesn't start.

Just an FYI: This is my first time ever working on a home appliance, so I have no clue where to start the trouble-shooting process. Please be kind :o

All help would be greatly appreciated.

If it is the thermal limiter, it is a $10-15 part, and is really easy to replace. Take it out to test, and if it is bad, take it to the appliance parts store.

    Thanks for the info.

Is this also considered the thermal fuse? If so, if it was a fault, wouldn't it keep the dryer from generating heat?

I believe I found the problem.

Bypassed the thermal fuse and the dryer started. Will be buying a new one within the next hour.

Yes, thermal fuse is a more accurate description, as it is a one-time limiter. (i.e. a fuse)
    Sorry for the confusion.
