Can I take the two together? The longer word, the last one is a pain releaver
There aren't any major drug interactions with prevacid + acemetacin, as acemetacin's a stronger form of an ibuprofen, however, some patients do complain that they have stomach ulcers... so be sure to consult with your doctor and take the medication following directions (with food, etc)
OK thanks I just have a really bad headache and my docters office is closed I think
You think you have a bad headache due to taking the two of them together... or you're wondering if you can take acemetacin to take care of your headache?
To take care of the headache
Was the acemetacin prescribed to you to take care of your headache?
... I think it's a bit odd... as acemetacin's usually given in joint/arthritic pain... it'll work just fine, but it's just an odd choice.
Can I suggest an advil or two? (it's the same drug component, but acemetacin's a bit stronger)
No it wasn't subscribed, its just what we have in the house (in 13 by the way) and we don't have advil... just that
... were you prescribed prevacid?
Yes
OK. I'd stay away from the acemetacin, as it's prescription strength... and only the person that's prescribed should be taking it.
If you have a bad headache, I'd try lying down for a little bit, turn off the lights, no tv/music... just try to take your body away from noises/lights. See if that helps.
OK thanks, but its not subscribed its just like the stuff you get at the store. Oh! I got the name wrong its acetaminophen
OHHHHh that makes a HUGE difference.
Acetaminophen's just like tylenol. As long as it's regular strength, then you're fine to take it. Be sure to take it following directions... and since you're 13, I suggest you talk to your parents to see if it's OK that you take it. Medically, you should be fine, but since I don't know your health record or you personally, I suggest that you get consent from an adult.
My mom said it was fine if I looked it up, but its extra strength
Gotcha. Extra strength acetaminophen usually comes in about 500 mg... which should be fine to take one tablet for a child between ages 12 - 14.
Yep that's what it says, thank you hopefullyit will go away soon then
Hope you feel better graypaw.
Thank you
