    Skip a de nova trial
I went to an arbitration hearing for a credit card, I have a copy of a credit report which

States paid- no balance. The arbitrator moved the hearing up after contacting all parties,

And they all agreed to be there. The lawyer for the plaintiff no showed. Less than 30 days

Later I got a letter for a trial de nova ( a do over?). What are my options?

    Thanks getachevy

I haven't seen this used in years and years - maybe it's common elsewhere. I thought it only pertained to a trial, not an arbitration.

Was the matter adjourned, dismissed (with or without prejudice)? I don't know why an arbitration is being treated as a new trial -

Your credit report stating "no balance" may not be an adequate defense - these reports are often incorrect. Do you have cancelled checks or other proof?
