I am not sure we have a case but am asking for any advice. Me and my husband bought a home in October that was an estate. The previous owner died and his daughter took over the sale. She gutted the house and remodeled everything, new floors, new windows even finished the basement. She put new drywall and new carpet in the basement even new plastered the concrete walls. In the process of finishing the basement she (her remodelers) covered all evidence that the basement ever leaked (and man does it leak when it rains). 1 month after we moved in it was soaking wet in the basement. The carpet would be soaking wet any time it rained. After several months the exterior walls began to bubble and cracks were exposed. We removed the carpet to find water damaged tiles underneath, and molded walls. She never lived there so I know it is harder but it is visible that she covered the previos damage. Do we have any case for the court system?
