My house cat< misty , turned a year in feb. 08' . Got pregnant. Misty is extremely attached to me. I hand fed her since 5wks old. Anyway, she had her litter of 4, very, very, very good mother cat. Never left their side.
Then today when I got home from work at 3pm, I didn't see her. I didn't think anything of it because I leave the sliding glass door open for her to go in and out as she pleases...
It is now 9pm and no sign of her. Her 4 week old kittens are here... this is not my cats behavior.. what happen?? HELP. I'm stressing out

Yea, I did. But she didn't mind. My cat has never been gone this long. She left her 4 week old babies here... they won't drink the weaning mixture I bought.. its been 7 hours since I've been home... this cat is highly attached to me and will always come when I call..

They'll act like they don't mind while your doing it but honestly they hate it your lucky you didn't find 4 dead kittens she'll be home she knows where the food I had several cats that all the sudden left I thought they were gone forever and then a week or two later here they are when she comes home go have her spayed I don't think she likes being a mommy. To get the kittens to drink get a small syringe and " force feed" them or dip their faces in the mixture let them taste it once again they'll know where the food is and eventually drink it.

Don't worry she'll be back go get some sleep and relax if she's not home tomorrow evening call the local animal shelters and ask. Good luck and God Bless. Have a good night.

Most cats do not mind an owner touching her kittens.I feel there is another reason she is not there.I hope she did not get hurt. You need to feed the babies, either canned food or bottle feed. They will get dehydrated if they are not fed.I know you are worried, but maybe someone locked her in a house where she cannot come home.I have raised many kittens, and sometimes young cats do weird things, but more than likely she will show up soon. Please tell us if she shows up and how things are going.

I see this is an old post, but I have to agree with pompano. I have never had a mommy cat leave if just the owner has touched the kittens. However, we did have a cat go into heat before the vet would spay her after a set of kittens. Good luck, hopefully she isn't in heat again.
