    Healthy Fasting
I want to cleanse the toxins from my body, but I want to do it the healthy way. I don't want to do it the Stanley Burroughs way, either, of The Master Cleanse.

I have heard about something called a "green food" supplement, but that's all that I even remotely know. I need to get all the toxins out of my body.

    Detailed replies would be appreciated.

I've never heard of a healthy fast... but whatever.

I have heard that getting an enima is supposed to be good for your colon though... it's not fasting but aleast you won't get hungry :)

What kind of fasting are you looking for? There is juice fasting. I fast and when I do I eat an early breakfast before dawn and break my fast at sunset. If you are interested to learn more about fasting you may want to read this: My Health: Rest Your Body From Food By Fasting.

The green juice is good. It is basically vegetable juice and the red is fruit juice.
I never thought of using them to fast but I am sure they would be good for a juice fast.

Sunnibunni! I cleanse four times year and it is the best thing can do for your body and it SO easy.. screw fasting, there is nothing good about depriving your body from essential essentials! ;) Go to your local health food store and pick up a box of CleanseSmart, (there is a beginner version that is less intense but I wished I'd gone all the way) I do 2 weeks worth and it cleanses Everything! Lungs, liver, colon, it detoxes the entire body. Now you'll have to commit to diet free of gluten (Quinoa, amaranth, millet, and buckwheat is ok) , sugar (including artificial crap, Stevia is ok), dairy, caffeine, alcohol and foods containing tons of preservatives. Eat lots of veggies, rice, beans, nuts, seeds, tea, pure unsweetened fruit juice (tropicana OJ! ) and I try to limit myself to fruit that is preferably local (apple picking!) or in season. OH and LOTS of water! YOu will feel soooOOooOO good after these two weeks, you will shed a few pounds as you will be 'regular' haahha.. hope this helps trust me, your body will LOVE it!
