    Not sharing the internet connection
I use windows XP service pack 2. It is connected with HUB. On network configuration all the thing are working properly .The both systems are pinging each other properly. The file transferring is working well. I configure the Internet Explorer properly. The only problem Iam facing is that when I connect to the internet the server connect with the net properly and the client computer is not getting the internet connection.
I want to share the internet connection on both of the computer. Guide for that.
for internet sharing I use the JANA Server for Windows XP.

The IP addresses are for Server = 192.168.0.1,
    for the client = 192.168.0.2

You should connect 2 PCs with Cross-over cable and one PC should have two Network Card.

Is your server enable DHCP ?

And did you put the DNS and Default Gate Way at PC?

How do you get to the Internet? Broadband? Dialup?

If you are using Broadband, save yourself some trouble and get a router. A HUB is not sufficient for sharing a broadband connection. You need a proxy server on the PC connected to the Internet.

If you've got XP< it would be much easier to use Internet Connection Sharing built into windows, than to use something like JANA.

You can check out the instructions here:
Annoyances.org - Setting up Internet Connection Sharing

And let us know if you need help with it.

You have no need to use any software for internet sharing. First you have to do is rename internet connection as "INTERNET" and lan connection as "LAN" . Go internet connection setting->properties-> advanced -> there is a option "allow other network users to use this network, if it is uncheck, check this one in server computer and you can find two options LAN/INTERNET in drop down box, select LAN. U can also find hand symbel with network icon. Give server ip as default gateway in client computer. If there is any dns addreses give those also in client. Then your problem will be solved

I beg to differ. What you are referring to is ICS and ICS is software. It's a limited proxy server utility that is included with Windows, but its still software. ICS has a rep as being quirky and I do not recommend its use. For one thing it means the PC cdonnected to the Net has to be powered up and connected for other PCs to access the Net through it. With broadband routers as cheap as they are, I would recommend a router over ICS. You will get a faster, more secure and more stable connection.
