I have a litter of four kittens, all that have been well cared for and are litter trained and were eating small amounts. I awoke this morning to find the female kitten had died. She showed no outward symptoms of being ill and I am unsure about the time of death although I think it was the early hours of the morning. I am going to contact my local surgery when it opens but I just wondered if anyone has any ideas what could have happened? I am devastated she already had a home to go to and I had also become very attached to her. Any guidance or advice would be appreciated.

Don't feel too badly. Your kitten could have died because she was the runt of the litter and just not strong enough to survive. It happens and there is no control over it at times.
