8 hp B&S Governor and carb adjustments
    I have an 8hp B&S engine Model: 190432, Type: 6117-01, Code: 92093010. It is installed on a White chipper/shredder.
It starts on the first pull every time (with choke closed). It runs smoothly until I try to open the choke, then begins to stall. If I close the choke it picks back up and sometimes when it is half choke I can move the throttle rod a bit and it picks up. After a few minutes it will not even run with choke closed. The governor control plate was bent toward the block by the previous own who forced it back when re-installing the carburetor. I noticed it when I took the carb off to clean it and bent it back straight again.
I sugged the high speed valve and backed off 1 1/2 turns and snugged the fuel mixture screw and back it off 1 whole turn. I cannot get it to run properly. I have done all I know and I might have done that wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -zmanros

Remove the carb, clean the carb, reinstall the carb, straighten the governor rod.

I already did what you suggested. Please re-read the end of my first paragraph.

So, here again, I will tell someone,

    GOOD LUCK!!
You just dished an expert that knows what they are talking about. Sometimes you have to reclean a carb to get it to run properly.
When I put GOOD LUCK, I am sending a message to others to not respond to you, because you simply will not listen to reason and want to give reddies for good advice.
    So from me to you,
    GOOD LUCK!!
