Dizzy when standing, and other strange symptoms, could this be low blood pressure?
So for the past few days:

-Whenever I stand up, usually after sitting awhile at home, my vision will go almost black for a second, then back to normal.

-My head will then buzz, I'll feel dizzy, but it will stop after a few seconds.

-My stomach and chest area have felt strange, like getting butterflies, but not a stomach flu sort of feeling... don't know exactly how to describe it.

-When I'm walking for awhile, like today and yesterday home from school, my legs will tingle a bit when I step on them

-Also, when walking, do you know the feeling of when you spin really fast in place, and the blood rushes to your fingertips? Well, when my hands go back and forth when walking, it feels as if the blood rushes heavily to my fingertips, in pulsations, sort of.

My friend suggested it may be low blood pressure. Most likely it is, but I'm not entirely sure. These things have never happened all at once before, and I also don't feel ill. Does anybody know what these symptoms could mean?

I had the same thing a while back, found out I had vertigo. You might want to look into that.

I looked it up, it sounds exactly like what's been happening.
I'm not positive, but thank you!

Hope you found your answer, but get checked for anaemia, it leaves you feeling weak and tired too.

Do see a doctor, see what they say. The dizziness sounds like low blood pressure, but the tingling sounds like it could be worth getting a check up for.

Until then, make sure you are well hydrated (drink lots of water, gatorade & juices), and eat some small salty snack (almonds, crackers, etc)- if it is low blood pressure the sodium helps a bit. (be careful though, too much salt can lead to high blood pressure).

    Good luck!

Up your folic acid intake and possibly look into some iron supplements fortified with vitamin B6/B12. It sounds like anemia and vertigo. I suggest getting some blood work done.

I'm not Dieting, but I can't say I eat too properly. Not overweight but I do eat a lot of fatty/junk foods.

Do you vomit up the junk food? Then, get dehydrated.

Also sounds like what I have Vasovagal Syncope. It's very common in teen girls! I would go to your Dr. to get checked out~
