    My boyfriend violated probation he just came home from doing 6 months. They told him if he mess up he would have to do 2 years. Are they really going to give him the 2 years or will they just let him do the time for the new charge.

    Yes, what happens is on probation, if you mess up, you get normally held in jail for a probation hearing, and the judge will decide if they should go back and serve part of all of their original sentence

    So depending on what he did to violate his probation, but yes it is very possible that they will send him back to jail or prison for some time, maybe not the full 2 year but it could be.

    Probation is just that, a chance to prove you will stay out of trouble, if you don't, you go back to the same judge to explain why you could not stay out of trouble
