Over 8 Weeks late for period.Pregnant?
Well I'll start by mentioning that I am EXTREMELY irregular... I often miss a month and get my period at random times of the month... And when I do get my period, the cramps are almost too much to bare!. This has made my husband and my attempts to get pregnant almost impossible (we've been trying since June 07). Well I went to the Gyno in October and she said my testosterone levels were high and that's why I was so irregular... Well she put me on progesterone to induce my period and Clomid to help me get pregnant in Jan... I got my period but needless to say I didn't get pregnant. (oh and by the way I did an ultrasound in Nov too to check for cyst and there was nothing there). So... I got my period on Feb 14th... and haven't gotten it since (it's not April 22nd). Like I said it's fairly normal for me to miss my period but the weird thing is I'm having weird symptoms this time. Last month when I missed it I took an HPT and it was negative... but ever since then (for like a month now) My breast have been super tender and look a bit bigger (though the bigger part may just be my imagination and me wanting to be pregnant!)... And also... throughout the day I'll have waves of strong cramps that last for only about a minute... SO... Basically I'm confused and am a bit afraid to take another HPT because I've been disappointed so many times!. (plus those darn things are expensive... like $20!! ). SO has anyone experience a case like mine and found out they were pregnant?.

You could be pregnant, could be your period is getting ready to start. Only way you are going to know is to test... either at home or at the doctor's. You can go to the health department or planned parenthood as well. Check around, you can find pregnancy tests that are closer to $10.

Did your doctor actually test to see if you were ovulating? If not, first step should be to regulate your cycles... not jump right to the Clomid. If you are already ovulating, the Clomid is unnecessary. How much and when are you using the progesterone?

Yes she did check... She put me on brith control for 4 months before the clomid to regulate... then I had to take the progesterone and in January (5 days after my last birth control pill) I had to take Clomid for 5 days... 60mg I think it was. Then basically try to conceive after that during ovulation. She said she wanted to start on the lowers dosage of Clomid first to avoid the possibility of multiples, and it it didn't work I'd need to go back in for another round... But unfortunately I haven't been able to go back to her because I have a new job with new insurance that does not cover that office... I should probably go see another Gyno... but I hesitate to have to start hat whole process again. I'm trying to work out if I can go back to my original Gyno somehow...

Did your cycles become regular with the birth control pills? Many women do need more than one cycle of the Clomid... sometimes it is at the same dosage, sometimes it will be upped a bit. Usually they don't like for you to be on it for more than several cycles. Hopefully you will be able to get back to your original doctor... but if not, you'll likely want to see someone else and ask about any changes to or continuing the Clomid at the current dose. Good luck!

Congrats!! After 8 weeks of stressing.

Your story gives me hope. I am 2 weeks late, the only difference is, is that my periods are already on time. I have done 7 pregnancy tests and they all were negative (disappointing!! ). My husband and I have been trying for about 3 months now and we are very eager to know the outcome. I am still waiting maybe I will get a blood test done because I need to know.

    Congrats again.:)

My g/f is going through the same thing she is 8 weeks late and has taken 2 tests both said negative. We are setting up an appointment in hopes of finding out if she is truly pregnant or if her periods are off wack. I hope she is it would be wonderful to have a little one to raise we are both very good with kids and I'm ready to be a father.
