    Divorce Jitters
Is there a way to get a divorce without the drama of the court system?

    Hi,
Yes, if there are no contentions or arguments between the two people involved.
I was divorced after 7 yrs of marriage (since then, have now been married 29 yrs). I had a lawyer, she had a lawyer. We agreed on what we wanted, between the lawyers. Separation Papers were drawn up and signed. A year later, Divorce Papers were signed.
    There was no court appearance.
I do wish you the best of luck.

Yes if you and the ex can agree on all the separation of property, and child support and child custody ( if those are issues)

You can both hire the same attorney , use a paralegal, or even write up your own divoce papers by going down to the court house and searching though divorce records, find one that is like yours and copy it changing the names.

I still advice using the attorney. If you use an attorney, he files it with the court, and normally you don't even have to step foot inside the court house.
