I have lived in my home for 14 years and initially had great water pressure... could take two showers simultaneously and not notice a pressure change. Now, I can't run the sink without feeling the pressure drop considerably. I checked the shower head for a blockage, but it's clean. The other shower has the same problem as well.
How is it I could HAVE great water pressure and have it change so significantly?

Camp, this has to be a blockage somewhere in the pipes. Others on this site can give you better advice than I can. The only other cause I can think of is a loss of pressure to your house... come on guys!

Camp, are your pipes copper or galvanized? Do you know how to get a psi reading of your water pressure. Compare that to what your city tells you they are putting out. If you never tried to get a psi reading you can buy an inexpensive pressure gauge at the hardware store and adapt it to your garden spout.

The HydroCare thing reminds me of something they used to sell for your car that would quardruple the mileage, but never did.

Do you have a PRV,(pressure regulating valve) installed on your water service? Call the water department and ask what the main PSI is out in the street. Then check your house PSI and get back to me. Regards, tom
