    Adding a extra toilet
I often wondered, in adding a extra toilet. How do you connect it to the existing septic tank.

I see the clean-out plug. Does the new piping connect somewhere in that area.
    Some kind of fitting??

    Hey o'neill:

You can't connect into that cleanout plug... if that was what you were thinking... ;)

2nd toilet (or entire 2nd bathroom) is installed at the nearest waste stack (3 or 4 inch pipe coming out of ground to pick up first or second floor bathroom) where a WYE fitting is cut into stack (cast iron or PVC) and secured using appropriate clamps (cast iron pipe/fittings get the 4 band clamps. Transition between cast iron to PVC pipe/fittings get the Mission style 2 band clamp... PVC pipe/fittings gets PVC x PVC mission clampssee pics.).

New pipe is installed onto wye, and then new pipe is run to bathroom where waste and VENT pipes are installed.

Let me know if need more... glad to help... Mark
