Hello I am looking for some help, I bought a mobile home in February 2005 it is my name only... After I was approved for the park. When I applied for the park, I did not put my boyfriend on the lease (just in case). Now here we are 3 years later and I want him out. There is more, He has not help pay any bills in the 3 years that we have been living here and needless to say he has not even had a job, there is nothing in his name but the D.T.E. bill which can be changed. There is more we have 3 children to gather and I have only had him around this long because I didn't have anyone to watch the kids when I work, now I am going through D.H.S for relative care provider to watch my kids. But first I have to get him out. I just don't where to start because none of this falls under any tenant, landlord laws. This is a very bad time in my life I just want him out... So is there a way I can get him out of my house?. Can anyone help me please.

This is a sticky situation for you since you have allowed this person to live in your home so long. But honestly, most state laws provide the owner/landlord/primary tenant or property manager a lot of outs with this problem. In your case, I would start by contacting my local police dept or sheriffs office depending on what jurisdiction you fall under. Let them know what your situation is and that you need to know what the laws are in this situation about how you can remove this "lessor" from your home. You may need to go to some sort of civilian support through your local courthouse and see about what the law says also. There is often support in many cities for Landlord/Tenant disputes, you may want to consider looking some of that up. Lastly, there are many books available on the subject of landlord/tenant law. BUT above all else, document everything. Document every conversation you and your "boyfriend" have had on the subject. Document dates and notices asking him to leave. Document every action you take because it will add to your own protection should this lessor decide to become letigious or take some other sort of action against you to try and stay in your home.

You need to tell him whose boss. What right has he got to be in your home not putting any income in the house while your doing all the hard work.
You have 3 kids as you point out. Surely they much notice the atmosphere in the home if u know longer want him there.

Firstly u need to think about u and your kids and ask yourself why should I be unhappy? You need to find the strength in you to be strong enough to stand up to him and say u need to leave I will give u a month to find somewhere but this is no longer happening.

If this doesn't work you need to go to a lawer or even the police I know this may sound harsh but how much do u want him to go it isn't fair on you or your kids.

None of this is necessary - file a formal eviction procedure. Then if he doesn't move throw him out.

He can't become "litigious" because he has no legal standing - it's HER home.

Sorry, but this is not sound legal advice. It is HER home and he is living there at her invitation - which is now rescinded. She needs to file for eviction NOW - not waste another month asking/begging/suggesting that he go. File for eviction, get an order, he either leaves or gets dragged out.

No Lawyer is needed for this type of action and in most areas the Police consider this a domestic issue and unless there is violence are not the least bit interested in throwing one - or the other - person out, dividing up property and all of that. This is a civil matter, not a criminal matter.

File for an eviction immediately to get him to leave your home.

I agree with Judy 100%. The ex has broken no law so don't call the police. The ex has established residency, even though he may be a complete fool, so he must be evicted.
